UBI involves a process where blood is drawn from a patient and exposed to controlled UV light. The blood passes through a specialized device that uses UV rays to target harmful microorganisms such as bacteria, viruses, and fungi. The Problem With a One-Size-Fits-All Black Box The boxed warning treats all hormone therapy products as if they pose identical risks. This includes local, nonsystemic therapies, such as low-dose vaginal estrogen, which have minimal systemic absorption. It also assumes that all women carry the same level of risk when using hormone therapy. This approach does not support individualized care. In fact, it actively undermines it.
